Food and Beverage Labels FAQs

You'll want to include your brand name, product name, and any catchy graphics or colours that match your brand. Important bits like ingredients, allergens, and use-by dates also need to go on there. If you're selling these, make sure it all lines up with food labelling laws.

You bet! For a nutrition label, it's super important to be accurate here– nobody wants to mess around with food info. Print it on good-quality label paper once you've got it all setup.

In Australia, the law says nutrition labels need the energy (kilojoules), protein, total fat, saturated fat, total carbohydrates, sugars, and sodium amounts per serving and per 100g or 100ml. If you make any health claims, like gluten-free or vegan, you'll need to include that information, too. Plus, allergen info is a must.

Custom food label costs vary a lot. It depends on how fancy you get with materials, size, colours, and how many you're printing. Small runs might cost more per label, while big orders get cheaper per piece. Roughly, you could be looking at anything from a few cents to a dollar or more per label.

For creative food packaging, think outside the box (pun intended). Use bright colours, unique shapes, or eco-friendly materials to stand out. The packaging should reflect your brand's personality and catch a customer's eye. Also, consider how it opens and closes– convenience can be a big selling point.

Custom packaging design costs can range widely. If you hire a designer, you pay for their time, creativity, and expertise. This could be anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on how complex the design is. DIY design can save money but might not have the same professional finish. One aspect you can definitely design yourself is custom food packaging labels. At Avery, we make that part easy with our Design & Print software.

Custom food label prices depend on size, material, colour, and how many you're ordering. Small orders might see you paying more per label, but bulk orders usually bring the price down. You could be looking at anywhere from a few cents each for basic labels to over a dollar for premium ones.
